Sometimes what we wish for does not come to fruition. Some will try to placate us by telling us that better things are planned for us. For example, that lottery jackpot that we missed again may be a blessing in disguise. We hear stories about the unfortunate fate of the winners often losing all their winnings, and often losing friends and family. Sometimes what we think that is good for us may not be in the best interest of our future.
In the Book of Prophecy (Ofudesaki), God tell us to pray with true sincerity (without greed, arrogance, and self love). He promises us marvelous blessings upon the acceptance of our prayers. On further reading, we find that these marvelous blessing are illness on bodies. In what world can illness be marvelous blessings?
On further reading, we find that these marvelous blessings are God’s warning or guidance upon the individual. God sees the dangerous path that lies in the future, and warns us with illness on our bodies. On pondering over these occurrences, one has the ability to remove evil (greed, arrogance, and self love) from his or her minds.
